San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office charges teen as an adult for the shooting death of a 3-month-old boy.  17-year-old Fabian Zaragoza entered pleas of not guilty on Wednesday for the fatal shooting of Izack Jesus Jimenez Garcia and the wounding of his parents.

Zaragoza is also facing a special circumstance charge of lying in wait, two counts of attempted murder and use of a firearm.  Zaragoza and a 16-year-old boy were arrested for allegedly opening fire at Izack and his family as they were leaving a baby shower in East Palo Alto.

Police say the shooting was a case of mistaken identity and intended as apparent retaliation for a beating Zaragoza received during a gang fight in May.
